TIM announced the export figures of February 2017 in the Durma Machinery factory in Bursa, the heart of Turkey’s exports. Turkey is hopeful towards the future with a 5.1% growth.
According to TIM’s data, our export figures reached 11 billion 296 million dollars even in the short month. And in the last 12 months, the exports increased by 2.6% to 143 billion 218 million dollars compared to the same period last year. Despite the shrinkage in the exports last year, Durma Machinery exported an amount of 90 million dollars with an 8.5% growth and took part in the top 1000 exporters. Speaking in a press statement, Hüseyin Durmaz, the Chairman of Durmazlar Holding Board of Directors said, “Your presence here gives us courage, motivation and honor. As long as we’re in high spirits, we can represent Turkey not just in 80 countries, but in 180 countries.”
DURMAZLAR IS AN EXEMPLARY INDUSTRIALIST
“With an experience of more than 60 years, and its R&D and innovation investments, Durma Machinery increases the added value and sets an example to other machinery producers with its technological investments. The first domestic tram, İpekböceği is a great example of this. Now, even the Munich subway uses these wagons,” said Mehmet Büyükekşi, the Chairman of Turkey Exporters Assembly.
